- Launch the application

Required Authorization
On first run, AppPorts needs Full Disk Access permission to read and modify the /Applications directory.
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security. Select Full Disk Access.
- Click the + button, add AppPorts, then toggle the switch on.
- Restart AppPorts.

App Store App Self-Update Authorization
Users with macOS 15.1 (Sequoia) or later need to enable "Download and install large apps to an external drive" in the App Store to ensure AppPorts creates an external storage /Applications folder to support automatic updates for App Store apps.
⚠️ Systems before macOS 15.1 (Sequoia) do not support this feature due to OS limitations
You need to enable the "Allow migration of App Store apps" setting in AppPorts settings. Subsequent app updates require manual re-migration to overwrite.
- Open the App Store
- In the status bar, click Settings and check "Download and install large apps to an external drive," selecting the same external storage device as the AppPorts external storage library
